Scope

Cognor S.A. Ferrostal Labedy is undertaking a project to build a new rolling mill.

Scheduled for completion in 2024, the project involves constructing a production hall capable of manufacturing 450,000 tons of bars and sections annually, along with the necessary infrastructure including roads, parking areas, and storage and office facilities. The investment also includes building a fire water tank, a sewage treatment plant, and photovoltaic panels.


Approach

GBPBP plays a crucial role in the project’s execution by providing comprehensive support throughout various stages. Responsibilities include verifying project documentation and concepts, developing detailed architectural, structural, and installation designs, preparing cost estimates and technical specifications. GBPBP also manages the process of obtaining necessary permits and administrative decisions. Additionally, GBPBP oversees author supervision and coordinates all construction-related proceedings to ensure adherence to technical standards and regulations.

Outcome

The construction of the new rolling mill is underway and is expected to be completed by 2024. The project is designed to incorporate innovative technologies aimed at improving production efficiency and minimizing environmental impact. Upon completion, the project is set to achieve its goals of enhancing production capacity, creating new job opportunities, and implementing advanced technological solutions.
